Farmers' Market

Farmers' Market Program

The Montgomery Village Farmers' Market is a program selected by the Montgomery Village Foundation Board of Directors to be developed as a community enhancement in 2011.

A 2010 community wide Long Range Facility Planning study found a Farmers' Market, was the second most requested addition to the community. Seen as something that could be implemented in a relatively short span of time that would provide a sense of momentum and a visible sign of progress toward updating the Village establishment of the market was initiated.

Farmers' Market Mission

The Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) is a nonprofit corporation, 501(c)(4), with the primary mission to promote the health, safety and welfare of the 40,000 residents of Montgomery Village through a wide array of public services. It is governed by an elected, nine-member volunteer Board of Directors, all of whom have a commitment to preserving the value, integrity and general sense of community in Montgomery Village. The Farmers' Market is advertised in the Village News our community newsletter, with a circulation of 11,300, published 4 times per year.

To further the establishment of a Farmers' Market by Montgomery Village Foundation, Inc., Christ the Servant Lutheran Church agreed to host the market on their property on Centerway Road.

The Market is operated by the MVF Department of Recreation and Parks.
